How to interpret this record

Correct an Electionpedia Public Record

A useful public record has an identity, a scope and a source. Research becomes more reliable when those elements travel with the number or statement being discussed.

Write down the claim first

Identify exactly what you want to know: who holds an office, whether someone appears on a ballot, what a committee reported spending, or how a member voted on a question. Each claim calls for a different source. A biography, a campaign website and a financial report can all be useful without answering the same question.

Keep identity, scope and date together

Record the entity identifier, jurisdiction, election or reporting period and source publication. These details prevent a correct fact from being attached to the wrong person, place or time. A name-only match can be misleading, especially when campaigns or institutions have changed names or when a person has sought several offices.

Correct the record
with evidence.

Point to the field, the replacement, and the closest trustworthy source. Electionpedia verifies before publishing and never sells priority, rankings, or preferred treatment.

Submit a correction

Make the claim auditable.

Nothing is silently crowdsourced into the live record. Your message enters a human verification queue; the cited source must support the requested change.

This form opens your mail app. Electionpedia does not receive or store anything until you send the message.

Public change history · October 16, 2026

Pre-election source corrections.

  • Current officeholders: CA-14 (W000832) and GA-13 (B001328) are occupied; FL-20 and TX-23 remain vacant. Current-office labels are reconciled against the House Clerk and Senate roster.
  • Independent expenditures: the $9 billion and $8 billion source rows naming H6FL11274 are retained with anomaly flags and excluded from current spending totals. The same plausibility checks apply to all connected rows.
  • Duplicate finance: reviewed Calabrese filings S6ME00316/S6ME00324 and Volpe filings S6OH00346/S6OH00353 preserve their original IDs. Aggregate money uses principal committee and cycle; conflicting summaries are excluded pending review.
  • Los Angeles measures: all eight questions and guide sections were checked against the final City Clerk voter information pamphlet. The superseded TE/PRK text warnings have been retired.

Source corrections are separate from incoming correction-form submissions. No submitted profile correction has been approved through that workflow yet. Remaining coverage and source-quality limits stay visible.
