U.S. Senate Roll Call 622: A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to "Extension of Deadlines in Standards of Performance for New, Reconstructed, and Modified Sources and Emissions Guidelines for Existing Sources: Oil and Natural Gas Sector Climate Review Final Rule".
A bill is a proposal or measure. A roll call is a recorded decision on a particular question at a particular stage. One vote rarely describes the entire life of a bill.
A bill number needs its Congress or legislative session and measure type to identify it correctly. The same number can appear again in another session. Titles can also change. Use the official identifier and the linked publication to establish which text and stage of the measure the record concerns.
A recorded vote may concern passage, an amendment, a procedural motion or another question. The description of that question matters. A member’s choice on a procedural vote should not automatically be rewritten as support for or opposition to every provision in the underlying legislation.
